Big brother Drew is such a big helper!

On the days when Jackson likes to be held all day, big brother Drew steps in to help feed Jackson so mommy can get some work done around the house!

Jackson often cries when in daddy's arms cause he just doesn't have mommy's touch.....but this day he was just as happy as can be with daddy. I think it's because daddy was making funny faces at him!

8 Weeks Old!

Jackson is 8 weeks old today! Time is going by way to fast. I can't wait to see how much he weighs when we go to the doctor next. He is getting sooo big! He is such a blessing and we are just having a blast having another little guy around.

Jackson loves to sleep on Papa Nap's belly....although, I think papa likes it to! It gives papa an excuse to take a nap too!

A case of the hard poopers!

Jackson has been having trouble with hard poopers, and it hurts him really bad. It's breaking mommy's heart to see him in such pain. The doctor advised us to give him Karo syrup or apple juice......we opted for the apple juice!

Jackson is supporting daddy's favorite football team the Detroit Lions! They are actually doing good this year...although after I post this, it will probably jinx them and they will do terrible the rest of the season. No matter what we are true Lions fans!

Jackson 7 weeks!

Well, it's hard to believe Jackson is already 7 weeks old! He is doing very well! In an earlier post, I wrote about the doctor wanting Jackson to cut back on his formula intake......well, Jackson said "no way mom"! He is drinking 5 ounces every 4 hours and if I try and give him only 4 ounces, he is not happy...... and let's mom know it! He is no longer spitting or throwing up, so mom and dad have to just keep on keeping him upright for at least a half hour. Sometimes mom and dad just don't have time to sit up with him for a half hour, but when we do......he throws up everything! So, we now know that no matter where we are we have to stay an extra half hour after he eats. He is sleeping through the night now, so mom is getting plenty of rest. He sleeps 8 hours at night, so mom tries to not feed him till 11 pm so mom doesn't have to wake up till 7. Sometimes that just doesn't work out, but at least mom is getting 8 good hours of rest each night! Thanks Jackson!

Jackson has become partial to one toy.......his phone rattle! Once we give it to him, he doesn't like to let go! I think he tries to call Grandma!

Jackson has been having trouble breathing the last couple weeks, and it seems as though he stops breathing at times. This really worried mom, so we went to the doctor today and they said that it's just a small case of acid reflux. He has been a little more fussy after his feedings, but he has finally gotten the hang of being awake during the day and sleeping at night. He eats about 5 ounces every 3-4 hours, and he weighs 10 pounds 10 ounces! The doctor said he's a little too big for his age, and she asked us to reduce his formula intake to about 3-4 ounces every 4 hours. He will not like that at all....but, we will do what the doctor says! All in all, he is a very happy guy!

Jackson is doing awesome sleeping at night. He only wakes up once now, and it's usually around 3:30. Mommy gets a good rest in before he gets up, so that is really nice. He also takes a good 3 hour nap during the day.

We went and got pumpkins at Huesteds with Grandma Nap. Drew picked out his very own pumpkin, and mommy picked out Jacksons pumpkin. Of course we had to get pictures with their pumpkins!

Jackson spent time outside for the first time yesterday. It has either been too hot, or rainy, so we haven't really actually spent time outside. He absolutely loved it! He loved it when the wind would blow...he would open his mouth and just feel the breeze. It was soooo cute!
